Les femmes artistes French Art History
Where are all the women in the history of art? Why has it taken so long for the general public to hear more about these artists?
We’ll answer these questions by examining a panorama of talented French female artists from the early 20th century to the present day. Join us to discuss the difficulties women had to endure in order to be seen and recognized as artists. We will take a closer look at both those who succeeded in “stepping out of the shadows” like Louise Bourgeois and Niki de Saint Phalle, as well as those whose names remained unknown for a long time, like Dora Maar and Sonia Delaunay.
This workshop is taught in French and open to students of level 5 & up
