Immersion
Programs
Students who join an immersive program in a French-speaking country will be rewarded with increased speaking confidence and a whole new outlook on the language – there is simply no better way to take your French to the next level. Whether you want to explore a French region beyond Paris, or visit our Québecois neighbors to the north, the francophone world has a lot to offer.
Beyond the daily French classes and opportunity to practice your French with the locals, these trips will allow you to discover the cultural wonders of their respective regions since each program includes visits and excursions. The vineyards of Burgundy and Bordeaux, Lyon’s world-class culinary scene, France’s beautiful Atlantic coast and the historic district of Québec City – one of the oldest in North America – are all on the menu! Read below for more information on each of our partners.

Our Partners
The partners listed below are all known to Coucou personally and we can vouch for the quality of their teaching and facilities. Each one of them offers programs of varying length and welcomes students of all levels of French proficiency.

Livin’ French
Burgundy, France
We have partnered with Anne-Marie, who runs Livin’ French out of her beautiful gîte in Burgundy, since 2018. Located near Mâcon, the lodging is the perfect place from which to discover Burgundy’s wine country. Anne-Marie has put together an amazing program, with French classes in the morning (using the Coucou method!) and cultural visits in the afternoon.
The program’s length and content are fully customizable. Our students who have attended all praised Anne-Marie for her gift as a teacher, tour guide and cook, as well as her deep knowledge of the region and connections with local wine-makers and chefs. You can do your homework poolside and then treat yourself to a Michelin-starred dinner in Lyon – a real French treat!

Edu-Inter
Québec City, Canada
Québec City’s historic district is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring the only fortified city walls remaining in North America. Québec City is also the cradle of French-speaking culture in the Americas, and the only major city in Canada that offers a 100% French-speaking environment, making it the ideal location for a French immersion program.
Edu-Inter boasts modern facilities and 13 years of teaching experience. Like Coucou, it offers 7 levels of French courses in small groups, from complete beginner to advanced. To ensure a complete French immersion experience, the school combines high quality classes with excursions and cultural activities, offering modules on cooking, music, the dramatic arts and even winter sports. Accommodation can be provided, and the school can help with all the practical considerations of your stay.
