FRENCH HORROR MOVIES
Wild, sensuous, and psychologically disturbing: these are just some of the qualities that typify French Horror and Fantasy films. Nurtured by a strong literary tradition and outrageously innovative contributions to cinema, it is no wonder that France has produced some of the most chilling and thought-provoking horror stories ever captured on film.
Join this workshop with Jordan for a spirited discussion of seminal French Horror/Fantasy cinema, including a historical overview of the genre and an exploration of its pioneering classics like “The Beauty & The Beast” by Cocteau, “Eyes Without A Face” by Franju, and “Diabolique” by Clouzot, all the way up to recent heavyweights like “Rubber” by Quentin Dupieux and “Raw” by Julia Ducournau.
