Le Book Club: Le Petit Prince
In this monthly Book Club, open to all levels of French, we will read books about French culture and history, or written by Francophone authors. In an effort to be accessible to Francophiles of all levels, the books chosen will be written/translated in English. However, expect the discussion to be both in English and French, as a way for you to learn new vocabulary related to literature and to the French language and culture.
This month we are reading Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince), France’s famous taleby Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
Le Petit Prince is a philosophical tale, with humanist values, shared from one generation to another for more than 75 years. Creating bonds between generations, men and continents, The Little Prince is a sustainable development icon, a World Peace actor, and a childhood Rights ambassador.
This book club is led by Coucou’s intern, Cassidy, and meets on the first Thursday of each month, 5:00-6:30pm (CDT).
Please note that our Book Club will meet online via Zoom for the time being.
Free event. RSVP by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you a link to join the meeting online.
If you would like to buy the book in French, consider purchasing a copy from one of the following French books stores: Des Livres et Des Délices, French Books Online, or Lectures de France. The book is also available on Kindle. Any edition will work.
Please note: our classes have limited capacity and often sell out fast, don't wait too long to book your spot!
