In this monthly Book Club, open to all levels of French, we will read books about French culture and history, or written by Francophone authors. In an effort to be accessible to Francophiles of all levels, the books chosen will be written/translated in English, but you may chose to read them in French if you’d like. Expect the discussion to be both in English and French, as a way for you to learn new vocabulary related to literature and to the French language and culture.
Join Bhavana on Zoom on Thursday, March 25th at 5pm (CST) for a discussion on Three Hours in Paris, Cara Black’s latest novel.
**We are also delighted to announce that Cara Black will be joining our book club to discuss her novel with us!**
For those of you who are not familiar with her work, Cara Black is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of 19 books in the Private Investigator Aimée Leduc series, which is set in Paris.
Three Hours in Paris is a pulse-pounding spy thriller that takes place in Paris during World War II and tells the gripping story of Kate Reese, a young American markswoman who has been recruited by British intelligence to drop into Paris with a dangerous assignment: assassinate the Führer.
This book club is free to attend and meets monthly, 5:00-6:30pm (CST).
Please note that our Book Club will meet online via Zoom for the time being.
