Aude, Theo

Aude, born in Melun, France, holds a BA in International Relations with a minor in foreign languages and a DAEFLE certification for teaching French. Following an internship at the French Embassy in Tokyo, she worked for Chanel and Prada, where her Japanese skills came in handy.

She met her future husband at her best friend’s wedding, and they decided to try life in NYC in 2000. They loved it so much they never left.

A passionate language teacher with over 10 years of experience, Aude brings energy to her classes with games and music, viewing language as a bridge to other cultures.

Fun fact: She never says no to a glass of Champagne – especially rosé!

Théo was born and raised in Bruxelles, Belgium. After studying law and living in Paris and London, he shifted his interests towards music. Théo joined Coucou in 2022. When not at Coucou, he enjoys traveling and reading, and is a big soccer fan. Théo is also well versed in French politics.

Join us at Coucou NYC on Friday, June 20th for the next event in our Apéro series: French Karaoke!

Coucou teachers Théo and Aude will host a fun evening celebrating our own version of the French holiday Fête de la musique. Get the chance to sing your favorite French songs!

Social gatherings and events have always been a big part of the Coucou experience as we strive to create a fun and inclusive community and develop a sense of togetherness between staff and students. Think of the Coucou Apéro as a Happy Hour, where you can spend time with your classmates and teachers outside of the classroom, meet fellow francophiles, and learn about and discuss French culture around some wine and snacks. We hope to see you there!
