Julie is from Besançon, in eastern France. After completing her Master’s Degree in International Law and Political Science, she moved to the US in 2011. She joined Coucou in early 2019. Julie is a mother of two and loves horseback riding and tennis. She also plays the flute.

Location

In this module, we’ll explore the evolution of French literature through key periods and styles. We’ll discuss the major literary movements that have shaped French culture, including Classicism, Romanticism, Realism, and Surrealism. Through the study of influential authors and their works, students will gain a deeper understanding of how literature reflects societal values, historical events, and philosophical ideas, while also enhancing their conversational skills in French. This module encourages critical thinking and lively discussions around the impact of these movements on both French literature and broader cultural trends.

  • Reading recommendations from your teacher and classmates
  • Exploring the evolution of the language through excerpts from different eras of French literature
