Trial classes are open to adults who are 21 or older.

No, but we always recommend taking a trial class to make sure you’re at the right level before signing up. Especially if you’ve already taken French classes!

In-person classes take place at our locations in Coucou NYC in SoHo, and at Coucou LA in Silver Lake. Online classes are held over Zoom.

Our placement test is very accurate! We recommend signing up for a trial class at the level the test recommends. If you find that it’s too easy or challenging after attending , you can always register for a different level later on!

Both level 0 (“Introduction”) and level 1 (“Débutant”) are beginner-level classes. We recommend level 0 to learners who have never studied French, and level 1 for those who have some experience. Deciding between the two? Take a level 1 trial class!

New trial class options are added on a weekly basis, so you can always check back in for new dates later! If you’re eager to get started, contact us and our Student Support team will walk you through choosing a level.

You can reschedule your trial class one time, as long as you notify us at least 24 hours in advance. After this time, rescheduling is not possible. You’ll have 60 days from your original purchase date to reschedule and attend your trial class. Trial classes are non refundable once purchased.

Trial classes are limited to one per person, so we can make sure that all of our prospective students have a chance to try one out!
