Little Paris Olympics Contest official rules

  1. Eligibility:

The Little Paris Olympics contest (the “contest”) is open to legal residents of the United States who enter here (each, an “Entrant”). Entrants must be 21 years of age or older as of the date of entry in the contest in order to qualify. The contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations applicable to advertising, promotions, and contest and/or to the contest (“Law”) and void where prohibited by Law. Coucou French Classes’ employees (“Employees”) as well as members of an Employees’ immediate family and/or those living in the same household of Employees are ineligible to participate in this contest. No purchase of any Coucou French Classes or products is required for entry in the contest.

 

  1. Sponsorship: 

The sponsor is Coucou French Classes, Inc. (“Sponsor”), having an office at 253 Centre Street, 2nd & 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10013; [email protected]. Sponsor will conduct the contest substantially as described in these Official Rules.

 

  1. Agreement to Rules: 

By entering the contest, the Entrant (or “You”) agrees to abide by the Sponsor’s Official Rules and decisions made by Sponsor with respect thereto and in enforcing the same, which decisions are fully and unconditionally binding in all respects. The Sponsor reserves the right to refuse, withdraw, or disqualify any entry at any time it deems, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, to be in violation of the Official Rules or otherwise in breach of the terms of the contest. By entering the contest, You represent and warrant that You are eligible to participate based on eligibility requirements explained in the Official Rules. You also agree to accept the decisions of the Sponsor as final and binding as it relates to the content of the contest.

 

  1. Coucou 10 Year Anniversary Sweepstakes Entry Period: 

The contest begins on July 26 at 2pm ET and ends on August 2, 2024 at 11:59pm ET (“Entry Period”). To be eligible for the contest, entries must be received within the specified Entry Period.

 

  1. How to Enter: 

Eligible Entrants can enter the contest by submitting an entry via the online form (enter your first name and email address, and answer one question about The Paris Olympics correctly). As a participant, your entry must fully meet all contest’s requirements, as specified in the Official Rules, in order to be eligible to win a prize. Incomplete entries or those that do not adhere to the Official Rules or specifications will be disqualified at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.

Participants may only enter once. Fraudulent methods of entry or circumvention of the Official Rules may result in the Sponsor invalidating such entries and removing them from the contest, as the Sponsor may decide in its sole discretion.

 

  1. Prizes: 

* Grand Prize (Three Winners): 1 group class

* Second Prize (Two Winners): 1 hour of private lesson with the teacher of your choice

* Third Prize (One Winner): 1 Coucou Book Bundle (1 tote bag, 1 course book and 1 exercise book – level of your choice)

The prizes consisting of French classes are subject to availability. Winning Entrants must abide by Coucou French Classes’ standard policies stated on the website. Classes are either online or in-person (no hybrid). Each winner, upon acceptance of a prize, is solely responsible for all expenses and taxes related to such prize. The winners shall not request a cash equivalent or a prize substitution.

By accepting any of the prizes, each winning Entrant grants permission for the Sponsor to use such Entrants’ entry, likeness, name and image for purposes of news, advertising, marketing, public relations and trade, as more particularly set forth in Paragraph 9, without further compensation unless and to the extent prohibited by Law.

 

  1. Odds: 

The total number of eligible entries received determines the odds of winning.

 

  1. Selection and Notification of Winner: 

Each winner will be selected by a random drawing under the supervision of the Sponsor. The Sponsor will notify each winner on July 29, 2024 by email delivered to the email address provided in the entry application. If a winner of any prize either (1) fails to claim its prize on or prior to 11:59pm on Aug 5, 2024, or (2) is deemed to be ineligible due to violation of the Official Rules or any Laws, such prize shall be forfeited, and an alternate winner will be selected by a random drawing of the Entrants not previously selected.  Only one prize per Entrant shall be allowed.  If due to a computer, printing, production or other error, more prizes are claimed than are intended to be awarded for any prize level per Paragraph 6 above, the intended prizes will be awarded in a random drawing from among all verified and validated prize claims received for that prize level. In no event will more than the number of prizes stated in Paragraph 6 above be awarded.

 

  1. Rights Granted by You:

By submitting an entry into the contest, You understand and agree that the Sponsor, and any individual acting on the Sponsor’s behalf shall, where permitted by law, have the right to print, publish, broadcast, distribute and use in any media known now or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, worldwide, and without limitation, your submission, name, image and likeness, including but not limited to your photo, portrait, voice, and statements about the contest, and your social media handle, biographical information or other personal indicia that may be incorporated into Sponsors’ news, publicity, advertising, promotional, trade, marketing and/or public relations materials without any further notice, review, consent, compensation, or remuneration.

 

  1. Terms & Conditions: 

In its sole discretion, the Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate the contest should any non-authorized human intervention, bug or virus, fraud, or other causes beyond the Sponsor’s control, adversely impact and/or corrupt the security, fairness, proper conduct, or administration of the contest. The Sponsor, in the event of any of the above issues, may determine the winning Entrant based on all eligible entries received prior to such impacting or corrupting event and/or after (if appropriate, in Sponsor’s sole discretion) the action taken by the Sponsor in response thereto. Individuals who tamper with or attempt to tamper with the operation or entry process of the contest or the website therefor or otherwise violate the Official Rules or the Terms & Conditions hereof will be disqualified by the Sponsor, as may be determined in the Sponsor’s sole discretion. The Sponsor has the right, solely in its discretion, to take such actions as it deems necessary to maintain the integrity of the contest including, but not limited to, voiding votes due to: multiple entries from the same user; multiple entries from the same computer beyond the number allowed by the Official Rules; the use of bots, macros, scripts, or other technical means for entering, or for any other reason as may be necessary to maintain the integrity of the contest. Attempts by any Entrant to deliberately damage any website pertaining to, or undermine the legitimate operation of, the contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. If any such attempt is made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

 

  1. Limitation of Liability: 

By entering into the contest, You hereby covenant and agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its subsidiaries, representatives, affiliates, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, successors, agents, assigns, directors, employees, and officers against and from any and all claims, liability, illness, injury, death, litigation, loss, or damages that may occur, directly or indirectly, from (1) participation in the contest, (2) accepting, possessing, using, or misusing of any awarded prize or any portion thereof; (3) any type of technical failure; (4) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, phone, or Internet service; (5) unauthorized intervention in any part of the entry process or the contest; (6) electronic error or human error in the contest administration or the processing of entries.

 

  1. Disputes: 

THIS CONTEST IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE STATE OF NEW YORK, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. The Entrant agrees, as a condition of participating in this contest, that if any disputes cannot be resolved between the Entrant and the Sponsor, and if causes of action arise out of or are connected with this contest, they shall be individually resolved exclusively before a court located in the State of New York having jurisdiction, without resorting to any form of class action. Under no circumstances in any such dispute shall the participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees, other than participant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e. costs associated with entering this contest). The participant waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
