If you want to place Anka on the map, look near the mountains! A French-Swiss binational, Anka studied international law in Lyon before working in Geneva, Zurich, and Monaco. She moved to LA in 2013 to pursue a new career in art and tech. Outside the classroom, you can find her playing golf, honing her painting skills, or showcasing her hosting talents at dinner parties with friends.

Born and raised in the French Alps, but Parisian at heart, Anna has lived in England, Canada, Belgium and Namibia. In 2017, she moved to sunny LA, where she has been involved in several cultural and environmental projects, and later joined Coucou in 2020. She is fond of art, always eager to wander galleries and museums, and loves to draw. Special skills: Wonder Maman & environmental advocate!

Caroline was born and raised in Marseille, in the south of France, to Italian parents. She grew up between the two cultures. After completing a degree in journalism, she earned a degree in forensic science and criminology. She worked as a journalist and reporter in Africa and France. She later moved to the U.S., then to Canada, before moving to California, where she worked as a journalist, photographer, and writer. She now lives in Hawaii, where she joined Coucou in 2026. She is passionate about poetry, movies, soccer, and Formula One, as well as extreme sports like skydiving. She is vegan and loves writing songs, poems, and stories.

After living in Paris, New York and Monterey, CA, Claire has settled in Moret-sur-Loing, a nature-filled medieval town whose riverbanks once captivated Alfred Sisley. She has taught with Coucou since 2017, alongside her work as a translator and visual poet. With a background in arts and culture, she brings to class her endless fascination with language, from the buried histories that etymology uncovers to the intricacies of translation.

Cynthia was born and raised in Île-de-France, in the suburbs of Paris. After studying radio journalism, she became PR for a Parisian record label. She moved to LA in 2014 where she met Margaux, owner of Coucou LA, and decided to join the school then. Cynthia enjoys playing ping- pong and pool, singing karaoke, buying groceries at the market and unwinding with a good book.

Houda was born and raised in Belgium, then lived in Rwanda and Senegal before moving to New York seven years ago. In her early days in NYC, she worked for a shoe designer, splitting her time between the city and Italy.

She’s currently finishing her studies as an herbalist. Houda loves cooking, sharing an aperitif with friends, singing when no one can hear her, drinking natural wine, and reading.

Jérémy is a French-Italian actor, producer, writer, and teacher from Toulouse, France. He moved to Los Angeles in 2021, where he continued his career and found his life partner, and to NYC in 2025. A holder of an MFA in Acting (2022), BA in English World Studies, and BA in Cinema, Jérémy has taught French, Acting, and English in various colleges in France and England. He joined Coucou in 2023. Passionate about good food, drinks, and dark humor, Jérémy enjoys debates, politics, and 20th Century History. His favorite film is Marcel Pagnol’s “Marius,” and he’s a Star Wars enthusiast. In leisure, he plays video games or relaxes with friends over an apéro.

Born in Los Angeles and raised in a French-American high school, Juliette grew up speaking French at home and going to visit family in France during the summer. As a high school sophomore, she went to live in La Rochelle with her great-grandmother to get her French high school diploma before coming back to LA for university. She is now wrapping up her double major in Psychology and Mandarin Chinese at UCLA. In her free time, Juliette loves to learn foreign languages, play beach volleyball and train for races.

Born and raised in Brive, in southwestern France, Keveen quickly relocated to Paris to pursue his passion for music. After teaching French and English in Peru, he settled in LA in 2011 and joined Coucou at the beginning of 2020. He works as a language and music tutor and is also a touring musician and a fixture on the LA music scene, playing in several local bands.

Luca is French/Italian and was raised between the Parisian and Venitian countryside. He lived some years in the UK before moving to NYC to study Drama at The Juilliard School.

Luca speaks French, Italian, English, Spanish and Portuguese.

In addition to being an actor and writer, he is passionate about football (soccer), cinema, dancing (especially salsa), music and traveling!

Born and raised in Paris, Pascal came to the US in 2009 to study Politics and Italian at NYU. He joined Coucou in 2022. Theater aficionado, Pascal is also a skilled horseback rider and occasional painter.

Pia was born in the US and raised in the South of France. After obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Archeology and a Master’s in Management, she started working in the corporate world, but then decided to follow her true passions: acting and producing, two domains within which she now thrives. Pia joined Coucou in 2016. She also loves dance, theater, cinema, and travel.

Quentin is French and American, and was raised between the French Riviera and Maryland.

He has been teaching at Coucou since 2018.

A professional actor and singer, Quentin loves using tools and games from his training to help his students better their language and accent skills in a fun, caring, and conscious manner.

Solren was born and raised in the south of France, in Provence. After studying law and realizing she wanted to do something more creative, she moved to LA in 2016 to study film production and screenwriting. Her life path led her to share her culture and language by teaching French to kindergarteners in New Orleans, and now to adults at Coucou. In her free time, she enjoys being creative, comedy, the outdoors, and traveling.

Her class atmosphere is very safe and supportive, she loves to make the students feel confident and comfortable while being challenged to progress.

Originally from Lyon, Theo speaks English and Spanish fluently and loves sharing his passion for languages and culture. In his free time, he plays basketball, listens to music, and travels. He has lived in seven countries and visited more than forty!

Théo has been teaching with Coucou for the past 4 years across our New York City and Los Angeles schools. With a background in law and a passion for music, travel, languages, and culture, he brings a truly international perspective to the classroom.

He loves helping students feel confident, comfortable, and natural in French. His classes are relaxed and conversation-focused, combining real-life French with cultural insights, humor, and plenty of opportunities to express yourself.

Outside the classroom, Théo loves listening to podcasts, traveling, playing sports, reading, and talking about everything from French culture to political affairs.

Tom grew up in Montpellier, France. He is passionate about cinema. He loves teaching; accent and dialect work are his favorite things.
