Level 4|NYC In-Person
Intermédiaire — making hypotheses feel natural
You’ve learned the conditional and the future. You can build a hypothetical sentence on paper. But talking of possibilities, alternative realities, using soft suggestions and polite requests, that’s a different skill. This is where you build it.
About the class
An 85-minute speaking class, every week, at our school in SoHo. Built and taught by Coucou teachers using the Coucou Method, with a clear structure each week: ‘what if’ debates, future projection scenarios, themed discussion prompts, and speaking activities focused on making the conditional and hypothetical structures feel automatic. No new grammar piled on, just structured practice that turns rules you’ve studied into possibilities you can express.
Each class runs at the same time every week with your teacher. You book the sessions you want, and coming back to the same one is how you become a regular. Bringing your own drinks and snacks to share is welcome and encouraged.

What you’ll get out of it
- ‘I would’ and ‘if I had’ coming out without hesitation
- Future plans that sound like plans, not translated English
- The softened, polite French adults actually use: requests, suggestions, opinions held with nuance
- A teacher who knows you and when to push
- A class of like-minded learners going through the same thing
