Many parents are curious about certain aspects of the French parenting style when raising their kids– especially when it comes to good manners and respect for that much-needed adult time. In a discussion with Coucou teachers/parents, all raising children in New York, we’ll examine the French approach to raising children and demystify the French mother trope.
Since there’s no one “right way” to parent, this panel discussion will balance cultural discussion and exchange. Attendees will be encouraged to share personal experiences and strategies that have worked for them. The discussion is open to parents with children of any age and also to those who do not have children, but are interested in the subject. We know that the topic of raising kids can spark strong emotions and opinions. So, if you’re looking for lively discussion on a complicated topic, want to learn some relevant French vocab, or just need to vent with other parents, this is for you!
