Alice

Born in Paris and grew up in the suburb of Boulogne. She graduated from top schools in France and in Canada, and expanded her horizons by living in Singapore and in Hong Kong.

Always up for a good time, Alice brings a cheerful vibe, slipping in jokes to make sure everyone’s having fun while learning (and if you’re lucky she will be sneaking some food/drinks for the class to share).

Outside the classroom, Alice enjoys cooking (and of course eating!), thrives in the fashion world, loves dancing beyond the scene and discovers new adventures with her close circle – just don’t ask her to get on a rollercoaster!

TURN THE PAST TENSE INTO REAL CONVERSATION

Level 3 Conversation Labs are where you practice using the past-tense system covered in Level 3 Signature Class: passé composé, imparfait, plus-que-parfait, and object pronouns. Labs don’t introduce new grammar. They give you the space to use it in conversation.

Every Lab is built around a real-life or cultural theme, from travel and everyday life to cinema, food, and French culture. You’ll warm up with the topic, revisit a relevant grammar point, then put it to work through conversation, role-play, debates, and storytelling.

Best for students who have completed, or are close to completing, Level 3 Signature Class. If you’re just starting Level 3 Signature, keep practicing in Level 2 Conversation Labs for now, then move up once you’ve covered more of the Level 3 grammar.

FAQs

What if I miss a Lab?

Conversation Labs don't include make-up classes or recordings. Each Lab is a live conversation, so there's no catch-up version. If you know in advance you can't make a session, ask us to move it at least seven days before and we'll return the credit so you can book another date. Inside seven days, the session can't be moved.

Can I change my Lab?

Yes, up to seven days before the session. Contact us and we'll provide a credit so you can book a new session. Inside seven days, the session can't be changed.

Why is there a 3-Lab minimum?

Conversation gets easier with repetition, so if you’re booking without Lab credits, we ask you to choose at least 3 Labs. Most students take 5–10 Labs between Signature levels to keep practicing what they’re learning and get more comfortable speaking. Mix dates, teachers, and levels however you like.

Have a Lab package? You can use your credits one at a time.

Do I need to buy a Package to get Package pricing?

No. If you’re adding Labs individually, once your cart reaches 5, 10, or 25 Labs, we’ll automatically apply the matching package price at checkout.

You can also buy a Lab package upfront and use your credits one at a time.

When do my Lab credits expire?

From the date you buy them: 10 weeks for a 5-Lab package, 20 weeks for 10 Labs, 50 weeks for 25 Labs. Unused credits expire at the end of that window.

How do I know which level to book?

Take our free online placement test. It places you in one of the seven levels of the Coucou Method. If you're between levels, or coming back after a break, contact us and we'll help you choose.
