She enjoys art, reading, eating, and cooking for people. As a singer, Sophie is trained to explain the physical technicalities of pronunciation.

About the Book

Written and first performed during the Nazi occupation of Paris, Jean Anouilh’s Antigone (1944) is a one-act reworking of the classic Greek tragedy by Sophocles that modernizes the language and relationships between the characters. At once ambiguous and deeply affecting, with themes of family and rejection of authority, it is a classic of French 20th-century literature.
