Jordan

Born and raised in Paris, Jordan started working as a French tutor in New York in 2013. He is also an actor and writer who creates installations and performance art exhibited by Baert Gallery in Downtown LA. Jordan is Coucou’s resident film buff, having hosted several workshops about French cinema. Jordan runs @filmsdulosangeles, an LA-based media company aimed at cultivating passion for international cinema.

La dictée—the French equivalent of a Spelling Bee—might seem intimidating at first, but you can rely on Coucou’s love of all things quirky and on teacher Jordan to make it a fun, interactive, and slightly offbeat experience!

You’ll be tasked with spelling out simple sentences, ranging from iconic French movie dialogues and rap lyrics to famous quotes from French literature. While spelling is the main focus, there’s a twist: you can earn extra points if you correctly identify the source of each quote! The winning participant will also take home a special Coucou gift.
