Join us at Coucou NYC on Friday, October 13th for the next event in our Apéro series. Coucou teachers Anicet and Elsa will host a spooky evening playing “Le jeu du loup-garou,” the French rendition of the Mafia game. In this spine-tingling two-hour event, students will engage in an interactive storytelling game of werewolves and intrigue. Teams will work together to unveil the betrayer among them. Embrace the night with creativity and French practice to unwind and meet like-minded people around a glass of wine!

Social gatherings and events have always been a big part of the Coucou experience as we strive to create a fun and inclusive community and develop a sense of togetherness between staff and students. Think of the Coucou Apéro as a Happy Hour, where you can spend time with your classmates and teachers outside of the classroom, meet fellow francophiles, learn about and discuss French culture around some wine and snacks. We hope to see you there!

About your hosts:

Anicet was born in Gien, a small town in the South of Paris, and raised in the Loire Valley. Anicet came to the US in 2018 and joined Coucou a few months later. When it comes to language nerds, Anicet is the full package! In addition to a Master’s degree in Classics, with a specialty in linguistics and language history, he is a trained professional singer. His career has taken him across the world, singing regularly in more than 6 languages.

Elsa was born and raised in Lyon and moved to NYC in 2019 to study Business Law and Real Estate. Of French and Congolese descent, she grew up in a bicultural household which awakened her desire to discover the world. Elsa is a published author in France and is passionate about literature, creative writing and the arts in general. She loves learning new languages and meeting people. In her free time, Elsa loves to develop her photography skills, spend time with her dog and discover new places to visit in NYC.
