These Terms and Conditions govern your use of services offered by Coucou French Classes Inc.
By purchasing, enrolling, or using any Coucou service, you agree to these Terms.

General Policies
Coucou may refuse service to any individual who is disruptive or poses a safety concern to students or staff.
If extraordinary events beyond our control occur, for example pandemics or natural disasters, we may move an in person class online or postpone.
Refunds are not issued for temporary online moves.
Refunds are issued in original form of payment only. Refunds for payments made in Coucou Points are issued in Coucou Points.
Promo codes must be applied at checkout. They cannot be applied retroactively.
Coucou may amend its fees and policies at any time.
Enrollment and Placement
Enrollment is confirmed when payment is received and we issue written confirmation.
Students are encouraged to complete the placement test and attend a trial class prior to enrollment to help determine the appropriate level.
Refunds or transfers will not be granted due to enrollment in an unsuitable level.
Group Classes
Deadlines are based on Eastern Time.
At least 30 days before the class start date, you may request a refund, a credit in Coucou Points or a transfer.
Between 30 and 15 days before the class start date, refunds or transfers are not available, you may request a credit in Coucou Points.
Less than 15 days before the class start date, registrations are not eligible for a refund or a credit.
Requests for a refund or credit must be sent by email to [email protected].
If fewer than four students enroll in a 10 person group class, we may cancel, postpone, merge groups, move the class online, or modify the format.
If the adjusted schedule does not work for you, you may transfer to another class or receive a credit or refund. Other remedies are not offered.
Coucou may change the assigned teacher of a class at any time.
Teacher changes do not entitle students to a refund, credit, or class transfer.
All group classes are for students 21 years and older.
Webinars
Missed webinars are non refundable and not eligible for credit.
If you cannot attend, you will receive the recording and any accompanying materials, such as presentation slides, after the session.
Access links are personal and must not be shared.
Time Zones
All class times are listed in Eastern Time.
Coucou is not responsible for issues related to time zones, including United States Daylight Saving Time changes in March and November.
Please adjust accordingly if you are joining from outside the United States.
Missed Classes
For Levels 0 to 5, we provide archival make up recordings in your Student Portal so you can review what you missed and catch up before the next lesson.
Recordings remain accessible until 30 days after the course ends.
For Levels 6 and 7 group classes, Speaking Practice and Grammar Refreshers, make-up classes are not offered and recordings are not available.
Recordings, where provided, are for personal study only and may not be downloaded or shared.
Workshops and Events
Refunds are available up to 30 days before the event.
Between 30 and 15 days prior to the event, refunds are not available. You may request a full credit in Coucou Points by emailing [email protected].
Cancellations made within 15 days of the event are not eligible for a refund or a credit.
Coucou may adjust this policy based on the nature and capacity of the event or workshop.
Private Lessons
Private lesson packages are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase and are non refundable in part or in full.
Private lessons can be scheduled from 48 hours up to 30 days in advance.
Scheduling is flexible and depends on teacher availability.
Lessons are not available after 5:30 PM ET in NYC or after 5:30 PM PT in LA.
Rescheduling and cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
Private lessons scheduling is possible up to 30 days in the future, and is flexible depending on teacher availability, with the exception of after 5:30 PM ET in our NYC location or 5:30 PM PT in our LA location.
If you booked through your Student Portal, use the link in the Calendly confirmation email to cancel or reschedule.
If you booked via email, contact [email protected].
Late cancellations result in the session being deducted from the package.
If you wish to reschedule a missed lesson, a 50 dollar late rescheduling fee applies.
If you are 30 minutes late without notice, the session is a no show and is forfeited.
When two students take private lessons together, the rate is one point five times the standard rate, including the rescheduling fee. Please contact us to schedule semi-private lessons.
Coucou Rewards
Coucou Rewards is our loyalty system.
You earn one point for every one dollar spent on group classes, private lessons, events and workshops, and products from our store.
Every purchase counts and points never expire as long as the Coucou Rewards program exists.
You can track your points balance at any time by logging into your Student Portal.
You may redeem points toward discounts on any eligible class or product at checkout.
You may also redeem points for specific rewards here.
Redemptions are final once applied to an order.
Points post after payment clears.
If an order is refunded, points from that order are deducted.
Coucou Points can be redeemed online only and cannot be applied to in-person purchases at our school locations.
Points have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash, checks, or credit card refunds.
Points are personal, they are not transferable and cannot be assigned to another person.
We may correct your balance for errors, suspected fraud, abuse, or returns.
Student Conduct and Safety
Students must contribute to a respectful and safe learning environment in accordance with our Community Charter.
Coucou may remove any participant whose behavior is disruptive or unsafe.
Removal may result in loss of access to classes and events without refund, subject to applicable law.
Intellectual Property
Course materials and recordings are for personal study only.
You may not copy, distribute, or share materials without written permission from Coucou.
The Coucou Method, including Course Books, Exercise Books, and Flashcards, is exclusively for use at Coucou French Classes. For licensing inquiries, contact [email protected].
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms by posting the new version.
Changes take effect when posted.
Continued use of our services after changes are posted means you accept the new Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of laws rules.
Courts located in New York County, New York, have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, unless applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
