Julie Béna, The Song of the Hands
100% Transparent, Coucou Brooklyn’s series of window exhibitions, the brainchild of French-American resident curator Linda Mai Green, teams up with Performa 13, New York’s live art biennial, to present The Song of the Hands by French artist Julie Béna. Julie has exhibited her work at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris among many other venues. For her very first show in the United states, Julie has created a site-specific installation with layers of printed, semi-transparent blinds, which she will use as the backdrop for a new collaborative performance with partner Adrien Vescovi. The exhibition is on view at Coucou from November 18th until the holidays. The performance will be held on the evening of Friday November 22nd – join us for a unique artistic experience tailored specifically for Coucou’s space!
