Level 2 Conversation Labs are where you practice using the grammar covered in Level 2 Signature Class: irregular and reflexive verbs, questions, articles, negation, and your first past tense. Labs don’t introduce new grammar. They give you the space to use it in conversation.
Every Lab is built around a real-life or cultural theme, from food and daily routines to getting around, social situations, and everyday life. You’ll warm up with the topic, revisit a relevant grammar point, then put it to work through conversation, role-play, games, and guided speaking activities.
You’ll work on:
- Asking questions and responding without relying on a prepared sentence
- Using common irregular, modal, and reflexive verbs as you speak
- Talking about routines, food, quantities, and everyday needs with more precision
- Using a wider range of negative expressions in conversation
- Starting to talk about completed past actions with the passé composé
Best for students who have completed, or are close to completing, Level 2 Signature Class. If you’re just starting Level 2 Signature, keep practicing in Level 1 Conversation Labs for now, then move up once you’ve covered more of the Level 2 grammar.
