There is no fixed curriculum in Spécialiste. Each week, your teacher builds the session around authentic material, conversation, and the language that comes up in the room, with corrections and deeper grammar work when useful. Students can stay at this level for as long as it keeps challenging them.

Conversation Lab

Who is it for?

Level 6 is for advanced students who can function in French without relying on English.

  • You can sustain a conversation on familiar and unfamiliar topics.
  • You can express opinions, doubt, emotion, and nuance.
  • You have a strong command of core French grammar.
  • You’re ready for a class conducted 100% in French.

There is no fixed curriculum or end point. Students often stay in Spécialiste for months or years.

What you’ll work on in this level:

Level 6 is fully conversation-based, with new material each week designed to stretch your comprehension, spontaneity, vocabulary, and precision in French.

SPEAK WITH MORE RANGE AND SPONTANEITY

  • Conversation, improv, debate, role-play, and group storytelling
  • Responding in real time without overthinking every sentence
  • Developing ideas and sustaining longer exchanges
  • Staying in French throughout the conversation

WORK WITH AUTHENTIC FRENCH

  • News, videos, songs, and short literary or cultural texts
  • New topics and references from week to week
  • Vocabulary and expressions drawn from real French
  • Discussion of current, cultural, and everyday subjects

REFINE THE DETAILS

  • Vocabulary distinctions and idiomatic expressions
  • Pronunciation and rhythm
  • Recurring grammar issues
  • Small corrections that improve precision without interrupting fluency

What keeps you coming back?

There isn’t a fixed end to Level 6. Spécialiste is designed as an ongoing space to keep advanced French active and make it easier to use in real time.

By staying in Spécialiste, you’ll be able to:

  • Sustain conversations entirely in French with more ease
  • Follow authentic spoken and written French across a wider range of topics
  • Express complex ideas more spontaneously
  • Expand idiomatic vocabulary and cultural references
  • Refine recurring grammar and pronunciation issues without losing fluency

The goal is ease: staying precise without losing the flow of the conversation.
